Nothing here is square

We template every cabin on board in a morning rather than working from a general arrangement. Drawings are the shape the boat was meant to be, not the shape a twenty-year-old hull actually is.

Wool, not synthetic

A synthetic pile melts into a hard bead under a dropped cigarette and never recovers from a heel. Wool is naturally flame retardant, which also makes the survey conversation shorter.

Damp is the real enemy

Carpet fitted over a sole that has not dried will smell by the second season. We moisture-meter the substrate first and will delay a fit rather than lay over a problem.

We work when you do not

Fitting happens overnight or between charters, with the crew ashore. A boat out of service for three days to have a carpet laid is a cost far bigger than the carpet.
